SoMaT — Sociomaterial Transformations in Norway and East Asia
SoMaT investigates sociomaterial transformations in Norway and East Asia through a Humanities-based Science & Technology Studies (STS) lens, structured around three themes: sustainability, digitalization and diversity. The project builds international collaboration between NTNU and partner institutions in Japan (Institute of Science Tokyo), South Korea (KAIST) and China (Tsinghua University and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences). My contribution draws on queer studies, cinema/screen studies, migration studies and East-Asia studies.
Nordic-Baltic Korean Studies Days (NBKSD)
NBKSD is an intensive, co-taught week-long course in Korean Studies bringing together faculty and students from universities across Denmark, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden to explore Korean history, society, politics, culture and language through workshops, roundtables and training tracks. I serve as the NTNU representative, most recently leading a session on queerness, K-pop and the film Love in the Big City at NBKSD 2026 in Helsinki, which brought together 9 universities, 85 students and 23 teachers.
